Brand Identity Development | HMP Global
Marketing set out to expand the Evolution of Psychotherapy brand into two connected events — Evolution of Psychotherapy and Revolution of Psychotherapy. Evolution of Psychotherapy is a long-standing conference with over 40 years of history, known for featuring the field’s most influential voices. The new Revolution of Psychotherapy event was envisioned to bring fresh energy to the brand by creating a second gathering focused on emerging perspectives in psychotherapy.
The goal was to develop a companion logo and visual identity for Revolution that could stand alongside Evolution, maintaining visual cohesion while establishing a distinct personality.
My Role
Collaborating with the HMP Global design team, I helped shape the Revolution identity system as an extension of the established Evolution brand. Drawing inspiration from the original Evolution logo, I developed a flexible visual framework defined by consistent typography, color, and form—creating two distinct yet connected event identities within a cohesive brand family.

Outcomes
After initial concepts were presented, marketing made a strategic shift — opting to move forward with a new identity that emphasized the event’s Orlando location instead.
When the direction pivoted to highlight Orlando, I adapted the concepts to align with the new strategy while preserving consistency with the overarching Evolution brand.
